Professor Chinedu Osita Nebo was sworn in as Nigeria’s new power minister on 5 February, filling a post which had remained vacant since predecessor Professor Bart Nnaji resigned in August 2012 after it was revealed that Geometric Power, in which he held a shareholding, was involved in the power privatisation bidding.
