Nigeria: Forcados terminal reopens

Issue 348 - 16 Jun 2017 | 2 minute read

Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria lifted force majeure restrictions on Forcados crude on 6 June, restoring up to 250,000 b/d of exports that had been shut in since February 2016. One leading producer, Seplat Petroleum, said the restarting of oil and condensate injection into the Forcados system at the end of May had enabled it to reinstate gross production at OMLs 4, 38 and 41 to pre-force majeure levels of around 75,000 b/d of liquids and 290mcf/d of gas, or 125,000 boe/d.
