While the global liquefied natural gas industry is expected to experience flat supply growth in the next decade, with most of the gas needed in Asia and Europe already contracted out, IOC and independent analysts agree that by 2022-25 there will be a natural gas supply gap to fill – and that East Africa is well placed to supply it, with Japan, China and other Asian buyers in the market for imports from new suppliers.
