The High Criminal Court issued a ruling against members of the so-called Zulfiqar Brigades on 15 May, revoking the citizenship of 115 people and jailing them for terms varying from three years to life. A further 23 people were acquitted. The suspects had all been accused of forming, joining or running a terrorist group, attempting to murder policemen and carrying out terrorist attacks with the assistance of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
