Deputy Crown Prince and defence minister Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) spent late August/early September in Asia, culminating in the G20 summit in Hangzhou, China. On 28 August, MBS arrived in Islamabad where he met Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif, defence minister Khawaja Asif and senior military leaders including army chief General Raheel Sharif. MBS left for Beijing on 29 August to join the China-Saudi Business Forum, where he promoted the Vision 2030 economic masterplan, met the heads of Chinese banks and held talks with President XI Jinping.
