Medgaz completes pipeline construction, starts testing

The Medgaz consortium – Sonatrach (36%), Cepsa and Iberdrola (both 20%), Endesa and GDF Suez (both 12%) – has completed construction of the ultra-deepwater subsea tranche of its 210km, 24-inch gas pipeline from Beni Saf to Alméria on the Spanish coast, to come onstream in Q3 09 at 8bn m3/yr.
