Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin Bin Abdelaziz died in a helicopter crash on 5 November close to the Yemen border. Mansour was deputy governor of Asir Region and the son of former Crown Prince Muqrin, who is believed to have voted against MBS’s elevation to crown prince in the Allegiance Council (Al-Hayaat Al-Bayaa) during the summer. The state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported that the prince and other officials on board had died in a crash during a tour to inspect various coastal projects west of Abha city.
