Libya: Major oil traders declare support for Sanalla’s NOC

Three major oil trading companies have made public statements supporting the management of National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Tripoli led by chairman Mustafa Sanalla and implicitly criticising attempts by the Al-Baida-based rival management of the corporation to take control of oil production, exports and sales. The interventions by Glencore, Vitol and Litasco in the dispute have strengthened NOC-Tripoli’s credibility in the market and are in line with the policy of the United Nations, the main European powers and the United States.
