Kuwait looks to inject life into its slow-moving oil and gas sector

The launch in September of a tender to build the main gas facility at the Jurassic gas fields has raised expectations that Kuwait’s sluggish approach to oil and gas projects is finally being ditched in favour of a more proactive stance. Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)’s request for bids for the $3.6bn engineering, procurement and construction contract for the 590mcf/d Jurassic Gas Facility is the biggest domestic hydrocarbons project to see movement in the past year, but others are also moving forward.
