Kuwait: Parliamentary protestors freed on bail in reconciliation move

A group of 67 opposition activists has finally succeeded in persuading the Court of Cassation to allow them to be released on bail, just weeks after the same court had decided they should remain behind bars pending a final court verdict. The group, which includes three sitting MPs and several prominent former lawmakers, are facing charges linked to the storming of the National Assembly in November 2011 at the height of anti-corruption protests.
