Kuwait: New ministers

Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah swore in two new ministers on 26 October, ahead of the reopening of parliament two days later. Yaqoub Al-Sanea takes over as minister of justice, endowments and Islamic affairs; his predecessor Nayef Al-Ajmi resigned in May, surrounded by controversy over US accusations he was involved in jihadist funding networks. Badr Al-Issa is the new minister of education and higher education; his predecessor Ahmad Al-Mulaifi also resigned in May, after two Egyptian workers died on a construction site.
