Kuwait: Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber’s US medical checks

Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah left for the US on 17 April for what the official Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) described as “routine medical check-ups” He was seen off by National Assembly speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and prime minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. It is at least the third time in the past year that Sheikh Nawaf has gone to the US for medical treatment, following visits in July/ August and November last year. Sheikh Nawaf, a half-brother to the emir, will turn 81 in late June.
