Kuwait: Mending fences with The Philippines over migrants issue

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has reportedly accepted an invitation from Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to visit Kuwait in March, following a period of bad tempered exchanges between the two countries over the working conditions of Filipinos in the emirate. Announcing the planned visit on 18 February, deputy foreign minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said the two countries would sign an agreement to regulate the affairs of workers, although it’s not clear if this will happen before or during the visit.
