Kuwait: Assyrian Christians claim KFH helps IS

US-based not-for-profit mutual benefit corporation St Francis Assisi (SFA), whose members are Assyrian Christians, has filed a complaint for damages in a Californian court against Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and its majority-owned Turkish affiliate Kuveyt-Turk Participation Bank (KTPB).SFA alleges that KFH and KTPB knowingly distributed financial benefits, money and services to Islamic State (IS or Daesh, also known as Isis) The complaint further argues that Daesh targeted the murder of Assyrian Christians in Iraq and Syria and that the banks “aided, abetted, and conspired to commit acts of international terrorism, resulting in the killing, attempted killing, and maiming of SFA members”.
