King Salman: Visitors line up

Other early-2017 visitors to Riyadh have included Lebanese President Michel Aoun. Elected in October, he was invited to visit once a new government had been formed in Beirut (GSN 1,027/4). A regular visitor to the Gulf, Niger’s President Issoufou Mahamadou was in town for meetings with King Salman and Riyadh governor Prince Faisal Bin Bandar. A security co-operation agreement was signed, along with provisions for Saudi-financed aid projects for the cash-strapped Sahel state.
