King Salman: Riviera days

King Salman Bin Abdelaziz arrived in France on 25 July for a holiday at Golfe-Juan, in the Alpes-Maritimes region. His arrival was preceded by global media reporting and typically French polemical analysis as locals complained about the security arrangements surrounding his holiday on the Riviera, where King Salman’s family has owned the Château de l’Aurore since 1979. The visit, on which the monarch was accompanied by nearly 1,000 Saudis, was arranged with great security (see page 1).
