King Salman: Home from Morocco, Chinese meetings

King Salman Bin Abdelaziz arrived back in Jeddah on 23 August in time to oversee the Hajj. He had been on holiday for several weeks in Morocco, where he has an estate near Cap Spartel. The scale and expense of his stay in the Tangier region was remarked upon at length by the Moroccan press – who saw it as a reaffirmation of friendly ties between Salman and King Mohammed VI, after the Moroccan monarch’s neutral approach to the dispute with Qatar during early June led to some questions.
