| 1 minute read
On 21 April, the group of kidnapped Qataris, held hostage in Iraq for over a year, returned to Doha and were met on arrival by the emir (see page 1). Some of the group are the ruling family’s relatives, but only distantly related. One relative of those kidnapped, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Fahd Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, in early March signed a deal with the Global Strategies Council for the San Diego-based firm to obtain proof of life and attempt to negotiate with captors for the release of those kidnapped.
