The emir’s grandfather, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad (ruled 1972-95), is seriously ill, sources have told GSN. Sheikh Khalifa was born in the late 1920s. After a reconciliation with his son in the early-mid 2000s he returned to Doha but spends a lot of time in Europe.
