Kenya: Bluesea seeks licence for 40MW wind farm

Kenyan renewables company Bluesea Energy has launched a public consultation on its plans for a 40MW wind farm in Meru County. The plant is the first phase of the company’s plans to install 100MW in the Isiolo area of Meru County, and another 100MW in the Lambwe valley in South Nyanza. “Notice is hereby given that Bluesea Energy Limited… will make an application to the Energy Regulatory Commission for the electric power generation licence… to generate power and connect to the national grid at Ntumburi, Meru County (40MW wind power)’’.
