| 1 minute read
The High Court in Meru has given parties two weeks to file submissions in a case brought against the 300MW Lake Turkana Wind Power project by pastoralists from Loiyangalani and Marsabit South districts. The case will be heard from 19 January under judge Justice Peter Njoroge. The six plaintiffs in the case, represented by Sagana, Biriq and Company, allege that the 150,000-acre project site cuts through their ancestral land, which is used for grazing and ritual purposes.
