With a new budget prioritising infrastructure spending newly approved by parliament, Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited (KenGen) has issued tenders for a 110MW-120MW thermal power plant in Mombasa, a hydropower study, and 210MW of new steam turbine power plants for the Olkaria geothermal site.
