Issue 958 - 14 Nov 2013 | 5 minute read

Maryland-based The Decapolis Group LLC (Decapolis) is awaiting judgement in a case it brought in a Dallas court in April against Mangesh Energy Ltd and HKN Energy Ltd (Mangesh et al), related to the companies’ dealings over the Sarsang concession in Iraqi Kurdistan. Both Mangesh Energy Ltd and HKN Energy Ltd, which operates the Sarsang licence, are registered in the Cayman Islands. HKN Energy is controlled by Dallas-based Hillwood International Energy, which is run by Ross Perot Jr, son of the former US presidential candidate (1992 and 1996) Ross Perot. Mangesh is an affiliate of Hillwood.
