Much rides on Iraq if the baseline assumptions of the International Energy Agency (IEA)’s new World Energy Outlook (WEO) 2012 are to be proven anything like realistic. The IEA’s central ‘New Policies Scenario’ takes as read that Iraq’s export industry will rebuild itself enough to make by far the biggest contribution to global oil supply growth.
