Iraq: New premier invited to visit a range of powers

Recently-installed Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi has been holding talks over the phone with a number of regional and international leaders, receiving numerous invitations to visit foreign capitals in the process. On 21 May, he received a call from Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri to discuss bilateral relations including co-operation to tackle Covid-19, declining oil prices and economic ties. On the same day, Kadhimi spoke to United States energy secretary Dan Brouillette.
