Iran: Tehran pressures Europe on nuclear deal
Iran has confirmed its stockpile of enriched uranium has exceeded the 300kg limit set in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), but insisted it is still complying with the nuclear deal. Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said this position was based on the United States’ withdrawal from the agreement and the failure of the European signatories to implement their commitments.“Iran is committed to the full implementation of the JCPOA: as long as E3/EU implement THEIR economic commitments,” Zarif tweeted on 2 July.
