Iran: Rouhani reshuffles his team ahead of new sanctions

President Hassan Rouhani rejigged his cabinet on 21 October with four ministerial changes, following a spate of resignations and sackings, and sustained pressure from critics to adapt his policies to the new economic realities caused by the United States’ sanctions. A second wave of trade restrictions by Washington are due to go into effect on 4 November, three months after the first measures.
