Iran: IOCs eye regional deals

International oil companies (IOCs) are stepping up their contacts with government, National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and its affiliates ahead of sanctions being lifted, but Iranian officials are urging caution. Deputy oil minister Roknoddin Javadi told Mehr news agency he expected only five major oil contracts to be signed with IOCs before the government’s term ends in August 2017.
