Iran: Allegations of Afghan children recruited to fight in Syria

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has been recruiting Afghans as young as 14 to fight in Syria, according to a report by New York-based advocacy group Human Rights Watch (HRW) published on 1 October. The children are recruited into the Fatemiyoun, a group drawn exclusively from Afghan immigrants in Iran which fights alongside Iranian and Syrian government units in the war zone, HRW claimed.
