Iran: “New” armoured vehicle launch

The Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics (MoDAFL) unveiled its latest hardware on 20 November, with the launch of what local media described as a “domestically designed and made armoured fighting vehicle”. The Toofan (‘Storm’) vehicle is produced by MoDAFL and can carry up to ten people. Unveiled by defence minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, it will initially be deployed with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) Ground Force and the police.
