Infrastructure upgrades help smooth RAK tensions

Approaching Ras Al-Khaimah (RAK) along the federal highway, the earnest demeanor of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) starts appearing more regularly on roadside posters, impressing on Northern Emiratis the notion that “we’re all in this together”, in reference to the Yemen conflict that has seen a number of young Ras Al-Khaimans lose their lives. RAK has suffered a higher proportion of casualties – “martyrs” – than any other emirate.
