US Secretary of State John Kerry met European bankers in London on 12 May in an effort to persuade them the US would not target their organisations over any legitimate deals with Iran. “As long as they do their normal due diligence and know who they’re dealing with, they’re not going to be held to some undefined and inappropriate standard,” said Kerry after the meeting.
