Former Qatari prime minister and foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani (HBJ) gave a relatively rare interview to London daily The Telegraph on 6 June, to mark the second anniversary of his country’s boycott by Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. “This wound runs deep, and it [the blockade] is hurting on both sides,” HBJ said. “There are families that have been split between the two countries, there are brothers who cannot not see each other, mothers who cannot see sons and sons who cannot see fathers”.
