Government reintroduces fuel price controls

The government has reintroduced controls on retail fuel prices, 16 years after liberalising the market. Energy minister Kiraitu Murungi said the decision was reached after the government lost confidence in the ability of oil marketers to regulate pump prices independently and fairly.
