Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has signed agreements with Russia’s Rosneft for the delivery to Tema port of 1.7m t/yr (250mcf/d) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over 12 years, and its regasification for supply to GNPC. Rosneft said in a 25 May statement that the package of documents was signed during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.“Rosneft gas supplies will allow to satisfy a quarter of Ghana’s energy demand, strengthen its energy security and reinforce the country’s position as the key LNG hub in the region,” the company said.
