Ghana: ECG concession award challenged

A decision by the Millennium Development Authority (MDA) to award an operating concession for Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has been challenged in Ghana’s High Court. The MDA, which is tasked with implementing the US’ $498m Millennium Challenge Corporation compact with Ghana, confirmed in a 24 April statement that it had been served with a writ of summons by the Chinese-led BXC consortium, the only other group to submit a final bid under the request for proposals (RfP).
