London-listed Gasol has secured enough gas offtake agreements to progress the development of its proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification terminals in Benin with the signing of a supply agreement with Ghana’s Volta River Authority (VRA). Gasol said on 30 May that its subsidiary Gasol LNG Import had signed a conditional long-term gas supply agreement with VRA for 100mcf/d of gas. The agreement follows the signing in April of a joint venture agreement between Gasol affiliate African Power Generation Limited and Ghana National Gas Company to co-operate on the marketing of regasified LNG from Benin and the development of LNG import facilities for Ghana.
