Erin Energy, the former Camac Energy, has filed a voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in Houston to enable it to pursue a reorganisation plan. Erin Energy and its subsidiaries will continue to operate under the jurisdiction of the Bankruptcy Court, the company said.Erin aims to restructure its debts to achieve financial stability and reposition itself to develop its asset portfolio.
