Emir Tamim: French visitors

French defence minister Jean Yves Le Drian was back in Doha in October, this time travelling with interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve to attend the opening of Qatar’s biennial exhibition for internal state security, Milipol Qatar, from 20 to 22 October. Le Drian has made numerous visits to Qatar since taking office, and is thought to be pursuing an elusive Rafale deal. He met Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani at his office on 19 October, but no mention was made of defence contracts after the meeting.
