Emir Sheikh Tamim: Los Angeles ‘working visit’

Fresh from his talks in London and New York, Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Los Angeles on 22 September, where he would be spending the next “several days” on a “working visit”, Qatar News Agency reported. Qatari ambassador to the US Mohammed Al-Kuwari said the visit would “further enhance relations between Qatar and California.”Qatar Airways began direct Doha-LA flights in January. Qatar Investment Authority last year announced a $1.34bn investment to buy four office buildings in the upmarket West Los Angeles district of Westwood, in partnership with local real estate investment trust Douglas Emmett.
