Egypt: Neptune signs for Gulf of Suez licence

Neptune Energy signed an agreement on 12 February with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation for the North West El Amal Offshore concession in the Gulf of Suez. Neptune will acquire 100km2 of 3D seismic data and drill one exploration well in the first phase, with two further wells planned in phase two. The concession covers 365km2 in the central part of the Gulf of Suez, about 42km south of Ras Gharib and 105km north of Hurghada.
