Egypt: AFC to invest in petrochems

Lagos-based development finance institution Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has announced an agreement to invest $25m in Egyptian petrochemicals company Carbon Holdings, which operates in the Suez Special Economic Zone. The International Finance Corporation and Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Capital are also providing financing to support the expansion of Carbon Holdings’ operations.
