Egypt: Access Power signs MoU for Aswan solar

Access Power MEA signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 29 April with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to develop a 65 MWp solar photovoltaic plant in Aswan. The MoU agrees a long-term lease for the land on which the solar project will be developed. An Access statement said the company was also in discussions with the ministry for a 50MW wind project in Zafarana. Once complete, the combined value of the projects will be $200m and they will have a combined output of 115MW.
