East Africa Gas Report: Critical year ahead for Rovuma Basin’s gas giants in waiting
There is still good reason to be optimistic about forecasts of an East Coast gas boom based on reserves offshore Mozambique and Tanzania, but unresolved issues of governance, policy implementation and unrealistic local expectations, added to the impact of lower oil prices, mean questions remain over LNG export plans. The East Africa Gas Report collects together the best articles and maps published in African Energy between November 2014 and January 2015, including two full-page maps on Tanzania and Mozambique, drawn by African Energy’s expert cartographer David Burles, and a project-by project analysis of Tanzania's Upstream oil sector. Additional articles include: Critical year ahead for Rovuma Basin’s gas giants in waiting (Jan 2015), Mozambique makes up ground using the statute book (Jan 2015), Mozambique bid round launched (Nov 2014), Tanzania gas bill to be put to parliament (Dec 2014), Controversy over Tanzania PSA disclosure (Dec 2014). The report represents a more than 20% discount on the price of buying the collected articles, maps and project update separately.
