EIB to finance centre-south transmission backbone

The Luxembourg-based European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced plans to provide up to E100m ($129m) of finance for the 1,300km Centre South (Cesul) transmission backbone system between Tete province and Maputo, which should be operational by 2016.
