DNO makes new find in Iraqi Kurdistan

Norway’s DNO announced on 9 January that it had made an oil discovery in the southern flank of the Peshkabir field, following drilling at the Peshkabir-2 well. Drilling continues, but the company says it is now considering possible early production at Peshkabir, with the crude to be trucked to its gathering, processing and export facilities at Fish Khabur, 12km away.The field is within DNO’s Tawke licence area, where it holds 55% of the equity, alongside Genel Energy (25%) and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG - 20%).
