Issue 341 - 02 Mar 2017 | 1 minute read

Cairn Energy has named former Marathon Oil director conventional exploration Eric Hathon as director of exploration, replacing Richard Heaton, who is retiring after 23 years with the company. Heaton will step down after Cairn’s annual general meeting in May. Following a handover period, Hathon will be responsible for leading all of Cairn’s future exploration activities. Drilling is under way on a programme of two firm and two contingent wells on the company’s Senegal acreage (AE 339/15).
