Burt returns to Middle East role in UK reshuffle, Symons takes on BExA

Alistair Burt has been reappointed minister for the Middle East – a junior ministerial post in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office – and also takes the title minister of state for international development by prime minister Theresa May, almost four years after being moved out of the post by David Cameron. Burt takes over from Tobias Ellwood, who has moved across to the Department of Defence. The changes came as part of a limited reshuffle following May’s disastrous general election performance in which her Conservative Party lots its majority in parliament on 8 June.
