BP: Helge Lund to succeed Carl-Henric Svanberg

BP announced on 26 April that it has appointed former BG Group chief executive Helge Lund to succeed Carl-Henric Svanberg as chair of BP. Lund, a Norwegian national, will join the BP board as chair designate and a non-executive director on 1 September. He will be appointed chair on 1 January 2019 and will have a base in London.
