Another Saudi employment drive

Riyadh has revamped its Saudisation programme to get more locals into jobs, in an effort dubbed ‘guided localisation’. The new strategy comes after recent data suggested existing efforts are failing as fewer Saudis are entering the workforce. The Ministry of Labour will work with targeted sectors to organise training with a view to getting more locals into high- and semi-skilled jobs. It will work with individual governorates to support efforts in each province.
